CAREER SUCCESS STORIES

Peter Scharpe
Peter Scharpe was a graduate who came to us from Iowa State University, he had given his application to our college recruiter and he made the decision to give the Pipestone System a shot.
While swine production wasn’t his top choice he became very interested, very quickly! Peter began his Manager In Training Program with his manager and quickly learned how entertaining it was to him to learn different things consistently. Peter was encouraged by his manager to move forward in the company and accept additional responsibilities. He first visited Alliance and was amazed at how clean and organized modern day swine farms can be. He was quickly amazed at how much he enjoyed doing his job.
After working a short time with Pipestone System he learned the excellent career potential Pipestone System had to offer. He soon became the manager of Horseshoe Hill and has continued to thoroughly enjoy it.
Peter informs other MIT candidates “don’t be afraid of taking on new challenges or task and own those that you do take on. Your supervisor and manager will see it, appreciate it, and remember it.”
